Re: Partisipants by country

Nice, now can you look at this by year and show % change in per capita participants? How about GDP compared to per capita participants. The ideas are endless!

Re: what is your deadlift and power clean?

Interesting stuff. I can power clean 235 and deadlift about 395 so I'm 59%. This tells me my deadlift is a little behind where it needs to be.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

What a let down for this last event. Part 1 you have 5 girls staring at the peg board and for part two you are watching a number on your screen count cals.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Looks like they have the triangle rig set up. Not sure if the movement (bar MU) will be any different or not.

Hand stand push ups at the home gym

Hi all,

Like many of you I'm building up my home garage gym. It's a finished garage with nice drywall and I was wondering what you all use to protect it when doing hand stand push ups? I'm sure over...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Yeah it's very unlikely. If someone did make it out they would become an instant crowd favorite.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Just now looking at the logistics of Regionals, from the website:

Overall I see the rational behind the super regionals but find it a little interesting that all regionals will have 40 athletes...

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

I agree that strength wasn't nearly a limiting factor for this workout. Strength clearly helps but it comes down to your conditioning. We can all do sets of 10-20 thrusters at 95lbs but can you do...

Garage gym start up

I am looking to start slowly building my own garage gym. My first purchase is going to be a nice rogue ohio bar and bumper weights. After I scrape together some more funds I want to get a squat stand...

Re: Muscle up help

I can do false grip but don't get a good kip. Strict and false grip are easier on me. Will try and focus on a bigger back swing and not bending knees. Great advice.

I was messing around on the rings today after my gym's WOD and would like some tips. I am ok at MUs, max unbroken has been 8, but I know I can get a lot better if my form improves. I feel like I'm...

Re: Bar muscle ups

I've helped a few guys out at my gym that sound a lot like you, by that I mean they (and you) clearly possess the strength for it.

Without seeing a video the biggest two recommendations I can make...

Re: Help me not die on a box jump tonight

When I went for a box jump max we stacked a tractor tire on top of 3 30inch boxes and added plates to each box to increase the hight. It looks like a giant tripod with a tire on top. That way if you...

Re: Wildcards?

I know this has been discussed elsewhere but you can't compare them cross regionally with any true significance.

1. The venues were all different, inside outside, heat, sun, rain ect.

2. Different...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Anybody else see how well the #1 team from Africa has done? It's just 3 events so far but it will be interesting watching them as the weekend progresses.

Re: If the seller is on the forum, please explain

Is this really that great of a deal?

Here are the big items:
1 rower (about 1k)
2 bars and a few bumper plates (probably around 1k)
1 S3 squat stand ($500)
1 Airdyne (about $500)

That's only 3k.....

Re: New study linking animal protein to cancer

"Americans’ protein-packed diets “are hurting them in a major way.”

It can't be the sedentary life style or level of obesity.

I think a more intriguing question would be this: Who lives longer/has...
