Isn't the definition of dead hang such that you relax your shoulder blades, and once you start going up you squeeze them together, which means you start the pull with your blades, and from there to...

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure you could call it an existing injury, as nothing ever broke or anything, iirc just an inflammation of the rotator cuff. I was wondering if anyone had a similar...

Hi guys,

This is something that's been bothering me for quite a while. Whenever I do a dead hang pull-up, I experience pain in my left shoulder. And this happens strictly only when doing dead hangs....

I'm not a very experienced crossfitter, and I consider myself a biginner, but I would strongly suggest purchasing a pull-up bar that you can use in your home, and once you've done that, just do a LOT...
