Re: What should I buy at Lululemon?

I got a pair of their Kung-Fu pants as a Christmas gift last year, and really like them. They're like a nicer, lighter pair of sweat pants. ...

Re: Nike Metcon

Finally got mine. :kicking0:

I can see the hype now. I really like them. Could I have lived without them and done just fine in my Nano 3's? Yes. But I am still pleased with them overall. Nice...

Re: Nike Metcon

Same here. (except different color) Road Runner said that they expect them to be in tomorrow (July 1) and then I should have them right after that. :pepper:

So, apparently poking the UPS guy with...

Re: Nike Metcon

Since I wanted the black/grey, I took your advice and pre-ordered from RoadRunner. (which, by going with them, I got 10% off too)

So, hopefully they should be shipping out next week. :pepper:

Re: Nike Metcon

You were allllmost my hero for a minute there, since that's the color I was waiting for.

But if you call their customer service (it's apparently the only way to order from them) they told me that...

Re: Pain in 1 hip but not the other

Not what you want to hear, but it could be a torn labrum, or a hip impingement (FAI).

I only know this because I have both issues, in both hips. I had to get a MRI to find out for sure though.

Re: Adductor tightness

The best move that I have found for adductor rolling is to set a barbell at about waist height. Then hike a leg over it, and slowly roll the bar, smashing those muscles all the way down on both...

Re: How do you incorp vegetables in your diet

What about getting a juicer? It is significantly easier to drink a bunch of vegetables than it is to eat them. I'll toss in kale, spinach, celery, romaine, cucumber, ginger, green apples, and some...

Re: Rehband Knee Sleeve Fit

I'd say that you want them to be snug, but certainly not cutting off the circulation. Can you still move in them? (i.e. doing air squats, etc.)

And I will wear mine for the entire time I am at the...

Re: Best Belts?

^^this. I got the 2-prong Athlete belt, and wish I would have just gone with the single. After a max attempt, it's a big rough trying to get both prongs out.

For me, the Athlete is too big for...

Re: PR Thread

PR'ed at the end of our clean & jerk ladder yesterday @ 215. I think there may have been room for 225, but we still had the wod to do afterward. Still, felt pretty good about that. :pepper:

Re: Squat Mobility Handbook

I think the issue with something like what you are looking for, is that everyone is built slightly differently. Even with the simplest movement - the air squat - there is a huge issue/debate on the...

Re: Squat Mobility Handbook

Have you seen or read "Becoming a Supple Leopard" by Kelly Starrett?

That is the closest to what I think you're describing. (and it is a great reference tool, BTW. I find myself going back to it...

Re: T2B

All good points above. I'll just add a few notes that helped me out.

Carl Paoli points out (in all hanging movements, not just T2B) to look straight ahead, not at the bar. That keeps you from...

Re: Best Mobility Tool!

*update. This thing is legit. I took it to the gym yesterday and let a buddy try it out while I did my wod, and he was hooked. Then I was able to try it afterward. Totally worth the cost.

I've...

Re: Best Mobility Tool!

I'll bet if you flipped it over and set it on your lap or a tabletop, then just ran your upper arm over it while it stays stationary, that might work.

Re: Best Mobility Tool!

Fine. You guys sold me.

$29 + Amazon Prime = I should be trying this out by Thursday :kicking0:

And like many have said, if it doesn't work, I can just use it to actually wax my car. :D

Re: 14.3 barefoot?

If you're planning on stepping, then that might be doable. I forgot my shoes one day that we were doing a similar wod - DL's, push-ups, box jumps. Let me tell you - jumping on the box barefoot (or...

Dang! Those sold out quick! (again!) :yikes: I think I got one of the last pairs that were available last fall before they sold out last time, and heard that they restocked at the end of January. ...

Re: 14.3 funny thinking about it

Might as well guess. Based on what we haven't seen yet, I'm going to go with:

7 rds for time

6 Deadlifts @ 155/95
9 Wall Balls
12 Box Jumps

Nah, if you like it, I'd leave that on at first and see if they work together. I can turn down the brightness on mine as well (and usually do). All the Flux program does is changes the lighting...

Re: Knee Sleeve Advice

Quite a few of the people at my gym have the Rehbands, and like them.

I went with the Rocktape Kneecaps (http://shop.rocktape.com/knee-caps-limited-availability-while-supplies-last/) (WFS), because...
