So, if I understand all of this correctly, I should start lifting heavier and start eating a ton of protein. If I curb my drinking somewhat, can I expect to notice more fat loss around my stomach?

So, it sounds like I need to eat more and lift heavier. At 170 lbs., am I supposed to shoot for at least 170g of protein per day? Is it all right if this mostly comes in the form of protein powder?...

Thanks for the advice. The thing that I have trouble getting around is that 4-5 years ago, I drank much, much more, and ate very poorly - fast food all the time, milkshakes and cheesesteaks...
