Re: Which rubber band should I use for pull-ups?

Exactly. Totally depends on the workout OP is doing. If you're doing a WOD with lots of pull-ups, be sure to use a band that will allow you to do a higher volume (until you figure out whats right...

Re: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Tamara's log

Seriously? Take your $.02 somewhere else. There are a lot of good reasons to ban **** like that in a gym, and she decided that she would. I "ban" kipping pull-ups and high rep barbell work in my...

Re: Lifting Heavy, Running Fast, Eating Well

7/28/2011

All mobility work today.

Did a few hip mobility drills, then moved onto a solid 45 minutes of thoracic mobility stuff. Even this morning, my spine feels like jello. Good times.

I'm...

Re: Which meats to buy organic?

Justin, if it helps with sizing, I'll tell you that our portion of the 1/2 cow (1/4 I guess) probably could have fit inside a normal fridges freezer.... if there was absolutely nothing in it other...

Re: Separating strength and metcons

Re: Which meats to buy organic?

Exactly. Especially if you have the chance to go and visit a local farm and check out the conditions, a grass-fed operation that doesn't look like a factory farm with cows packed into pens, is going...

Re: Which meats to buy organic?

Right... and a lot of farms will be "organic" in practice but not in name. The place that I get my milk grass feeds all of its cows, and doesn't use antibiotics UNLESS a cow is sick and dying. The...

I've always had tight hips, and really crappy "core" strength...
