Re: Need to improve my pushups & 300m sprint in 2 months for job.

Supplement with magnesium malate (malic acid). It has been shown to slow the onset of lactic acid. This combined with the information others have suggested will get you there. Good luck.

Re: Starting paleo, have a question.

I used to train at Southern Crossfit. Great box, great bunch of guys but it was expensive and I found that the "one size fits all" approach wasn't helping me with my strength goals. I would have...

Re: help my chocolate fetish please

Maybe start by replacing the chocolate with dark chocolate and then reduce the amount you eat over time. As a few others have stated, I have a massive sweet tooth and I found that cutting my...

Re: Starting paleo, have a question.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant during the day not pwo. I do take my lunch in tupperware but as I only get a couple of meal breaks in a 9 hour period I think I will struggle to get my daily...

Re: how to track down causes of gas and bloating?

It may have something to do with sleep (or lack of). I have always suffered from bad stomach cramps and gas when I don't get enough sleep. Sounds weird and I don't know why it happens but if I don't...

Re: Brand new study: Organic food "no better for health"...

Sorry to bump this but it's an interesting discussion. I recently watched an episode of Penn & Teller: Bull****! which discussed why Organic food is no better than non-organic. Not sure what I...

Re: Zone for thin people...

Take it from someone who knows, Zone is not for you.

I'm using John Berardi's Precision Nutrition system and with his help I have structured a great meal plan of 5000 calories per day. I can go into...

2010 Games videos?

I have been waiting for the CF Journal to release videos of each event from the 2010 CF Games but I have yet to see any. The only ones I can find are behind the scenes videos and highlight reels. Are...

Re: Paleo grains and bowel cancer

Great to know. I have always wondered why my lower gut always looks bloated no matter what I do. It seems grains may be the reason why.

Re: Recommended Supplements for overall self-improvment??

Yeah the sweetener isn't the best but I live with it.

Great success meaning strength increases, lbm gains, better recovery and more endurance during workouts. I seem to get less fatigued during...

Re: Recommended Supplements for overall self-improvment??

Branched chain amino acids. Most protein contains some BCAA but not nearly enough to make a big impact. A recent study showed that in the proper doses they were more effective than whey protein...

Re: Constantly being put down because i'm thin...

I'm very capable of handling it. I give it right back. The thing is that it's none of their business what I do or how I train let alone how I look. The offer for training was merely a clever way for...
