Hi, this is probably a question better suited for Crossfit Endurance but for some reason I'm not able to log on over there--thought there might be some knowledgeable people lurking around here.

I'm...

I'm giving a little presentation on Friday and I want to include a section about how the low-fat recommendations of the past 30 years seem to have contributed to rising obesity rates, diabetes,...

Re: Barefoot Running Article

I just thought I would update my old thread and say that I found something of a miracle. I started taking and SSRI about 2 months ago and since then I haven't had any issues with sleep.

I'm far from...

Re: Comparing Omega-3 Fish Oil prices (spreadsheet!)

This is great, assuming the only variable that matters is the cost per g O3s.

Can someone please enlighten me as whether there really isn't any difference in the more expensive brands other than...

Re: Say NO to Vaccines!

I just want to point out to people who are uneasy about taking the H1N1 vaccine due to thimersol:

In the US ONLY multiple dose containers have thimersol it (as a preservative). The single dose units...

Re: Insomnia Miracles

Thanks for your experience. Ambien works like a charm for me too but I would always wake up too early or not really feel too good anyway. Then I start to depend on it to get to sleep and anxious when...

Re: Insomnia Miracles

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I've tried the Lights Out blackening, ZMA, tryptophan, ambien, etc. I definitely have anxiety and depression but it's hard to know whether they're the cause...

Re: Neuromas, Foot Pain, and Barefooting...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think easing into is the name of the game but I'm amazed how slow it is. My foot health is steadily improving and I'm amazed at some of the things I've been able to do...

Hi all,

Well I have suffered from a variety of pain (knee, ankle, foot) over the past years and tried going the whole route of podiatrists and orthotics and expensive shoes only to hurt more not...

I hear what you're saying... I think though when you're learning a new movement pattern you need more than practice; you need a bunch of practice doing it perfectly. Otherwise you can just as easily...

Re: At what point...

I know a lot of people won't agree but I'm not a big believer in scaling. If someone has already been lifting for a few months and has been built up their strength, technique, and motor function...

Re: Dietary Fat, Insulin, and Glucagon

I think that's a little bit of an overstatement. Sure the initial loss will be water weight (this also happens to a lesser extent in normal low cal diets). But in general, I think it's fair to say...

Re: FRS pre-workout and Muscle Milk post-workout??
