Re: Anyone using "Beyond the white board"
I'm not sure if you still have access once your trial or paid period is over. I know that you can export your workout sessions into a .csv file, so perhaps you can do that right before expiration.

Re: Anyone using "Beyond the white board"
I am. Some "tracks" are shared for free, i.e. no cost beyond the initial monthly/yearly BTWB fee. I follow the crossfitlinchpin.com programming from Pat Sherwood as it's one of the free tracks...

Re: Rich or Matt?
I agree with the previous two posters, Rich definitely has an unquestionable edge over everyone else in the history of the sport.
My belief however, is that Fraser's 2016 performance is the most...

Re: Rich or Matt?
I think Fraser 2016 vs Froning 2012 would be a good battle.
As of today, it's Fraser based on his 2016 games performance.

Re: 2016 Games Banter...starting off with Murph
There's a chance some athletes may just sandbag Murph if it is fact scheduled as an individual event (there's some debate that it's really team Murph).
Strategically, it is actually a pretty sound...

Re: Crossfit Open 2016
I think as the Crossfit Games progress, the variation between athlete's capabilities will decrease. This will have the effect of making many secondary issues more prominent in determining the...

Going to the Atlantic Regional in Atlanta again. While there were some negatives in going last year (seating), my son enjoys it enough such that it's a birthday present for him again.

Re: Crossfit Open 2016
One thing to note in defense of Josh, the camera footage looks like it was taken in "fisheye" mode (likely a GoPro). Look at Josh's posture compared to one of the rig uprights behind him. He...

Switching gears again...
Castro and Bailey spotted in Asheville, NC yesterday at Crossfit Summit. I'm putting on detective shoes and claiming that the location for the 16.2 garage workout must be...

Re: Crossfit Open 2016
My thoughts on the OPEX thing:
Why even ask if you can use the smaller plates? The question is ONLY asked if you think you've found a "loophole" in the rules such that you can take advantage of...

Re: Crossfit Open 2016
I feel like 16.2 will be a shorter one, like 7 minutes or something, with a pause and a max lift afterwards.
(....hoping for bench press....)
(....it'll never happen....)

Re: Crossfit Open 2016
Thanks Shawn,
My goal this year is participatory in nature, so once I'm scaled, caring about the standings becomes rather unnecessary. I'm more interested in the quality of my workout and just...

Perhaps silly question...
I am registered and plan to do 16.1 scaled as 95# overhead is going to kill my weakened, post-surgery lumbar region. However, I think that jumping pull-ups is a bit silly...

Re: Training styles
Also, and please correct me if I'm wrong, heart rate is also a factor in overall body cooling. So it's also going to be a function of ambient temperature. It would make sense that swimmer's max heart...

Since the first Open is at NorCal, I also suspect they'll do something special for Jason Khalipa and his daughter (who was recently diagnosed with leukemia).
