Research the boxes within acceptable commuting distance. There are a lot in your area. I would imagine picking a box is not like a college ... Most people go for the community aspect and working out...

Have you read the Leavenworth study on crossfit? They demonstrated increases also using standard CF as well.

There are a ton of military affiliates. They don't have paid coaches but they have coaching opportunities. The box finder on main site has a section for military boxes....
