We do a fair amount of interval training like you described at my gym- about twice a month on average. They are very good, useful training methods.

I dissagree- you probably see a lower % of people with higher education and low "common sense," but as you are expecting more of them it appears worse than it is. Doctors are people too, you know.

Sometimes I'll put long socks on. Depends on who is in the room, mostly, and if I remember. Some people don't appreciate chunks of skin left on the bar as much as other people.

Depends on your programming and your daily intensity. The way my trainers program they intend 6 days on, 1 day off. When necessary they will encourage scaling weights/reps/intensity.

I second all of this. I also feel like it is a good way to establish a "baseline" feel for an individuals dietary requirements. But it's not something I personally want or need to follow either.

Corn tastes good. If you like it, eat it. I like corn on the cob, but not otherwise, for some reason. One of the best parts of summer is some grilled corn on the cob.
