Re: Is CrossFit mainstream enough to just tell people you "do CrossFit"?

Not sure if that is really an answer to your question more than a personal reflexion.

I would answer no but not because it isn't mainstream enough.

Re: Capacity is down?

I also beleive it's linked to bodyweight gain. Going from 185 to 200 had a significant negative impact on my light metcons number

Re: New from Italy - Weekly programm - classic or cffb

Re: Don't you need rest days to build muscle?

Re: How do I create a training plan for the week?

Well, SS is adding 15-30 pounds per week on your squat and deadlift, this is pretty hard to beat. After the first one or two months the weight starts to get heavy and your body needs all the energy...

Re: How do I create a training plan for the week?

If getting strong is your number one priority and you never lifted before, I would recommand starting strength without conditionning and a lot of food. Once your linear progression stops (about 6-9...

Re: Crossfit training split?

Jesse, I am pretty sure that in a cycle or two I will have to choose more carefully as you do my WOD.

To be honest, I try to follow the main site because I like the random aspect of it, which forces...

Re: Crossfit training split?

The strenght programs listed above will take care of hitting each body parts in a balance fashionned.

Shorter rest 1-2 min put an emphasis on hypertrophy, 3 min and up for strength (preferably weighted since you can already do 14 unweighted)

Re: What's the idea of doing percentages instead?

I have been following CFFB for about two years. If you follow the collegiate or professionnal Strenght WOD you do a lot of 1RM to 5RM effort.

I was missing the longer and ligther Metcon prescribed...
