Wrist Popping

Though this isn't an injury yet, I figured I would post it here. Does anyone's wrists pop occasionally when doing kettlebell swings or unbroken Olympic Lifts? The sensation is similar to when you...

Re: Additional Certifications

I go to university in Montreal, but come back to MA during the summer. I'll most likely be doing the certs during the summer due to time constraints (though I do speak French, so thank you for that...

Re: Gym doesn't allow Olympic Lifts

I'd like to quickly mention that this route can either be extremely easy or difficult depending on your school's financial situation, and more importantly, the opinions of the relevant people towards...

Re: Companies that Offer Discounts to Trainers

Also might be worth noting that you must be an "active" (aka presently working) crossfit coach to apply for the crossfit store discount.

Is Soreness and Indication of Progression?

I had a recent discussion with a friend concerning soreness and training. According to him, if you're not sore, you're not working hard enough (i.e. could see more improvement). I disagree, as my...

Re: Renegade Diet

Probably would of helped if I gave you numbers. Went from about 182-176.8. Previous body fat was probably around 20%, maybe a little lower. I'm definitely leaner now, so I'd say that my bf% decreased.

Re: Renegade Diet

I've been doing something like this diet for 5 days. I lost about 6lbs the first three days after reducing carb intake to ~100g (also cutting out bread and dairy) and reducing my intake from around...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

I've already done an internship at CFNE. At the same time, I cannot afford to "work for free" while at university. I'm sure you can understand that university and "financial freedom" don't come hand...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

No insult taken. This then begs the classic question: How do I get experience when I am not hired BECAUSE of my lack of experience. I completely understand the administrative side of this, but you...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

True, yet I addressed this lack of experience via the recruitment of specialty coaches that already train McGill athletes (I mentioned this a few posts back). Without outlining the entire proposal, I...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

Unfortunately, I don't believe I will be able to implement CrossFit at McGill, at least not officially through athletics. I spoke in depth with the appropriate parties and their issue is the image of...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

That is what I'll most likely have to do. I do still want to get affiliated since it will allow us to exploit several resources to grow the program, but I may not get everything that I want...

Re: Universities Using CrossFit for Training

I actually tried this approach. Multiple issues come up (mostly politics). There are two types of "clubs" at McGill. Regular student clubs through our student government, and sports clubs. To be...
