Re: Paleo Diet...lean you, lean wallet?

The Whole Foods around here aren't bad. You have to learn to shop there though and ignore the $10 1 cup blueberries on front display. Ours has grass fed beef which isn't unreasonably more than I can...

Re: body fat not budging..

Are you doing any cheat meals/days? Try Keeping blocks on the lower side 5 days then having 1-2 days of considerably more foods (5-10 blocks more), like say Wednesday & Sunday. I was stalled out too...

Re: The Perfect Diet?

As I said some people can perhaps do well eyeballing their own requirements, I'm certainly not there yet. Point was not to say those who can are doing something wrong, just that if you feel you need...

Re: The Perfect Diet?

Well I started out fairly overweight, did zone on less than optimal foods at first, trying to fit around crazy schedule. Started on 11 blocks, sometimes bumping to 12 if I had rowing + crossfit and...

Re: The Perfect Diet?

I agree with you on principle, I like Pollan's stuff and W. Price stuff too. But personal evidence for me points to the zone being pretty good stuff. I'd strayed off zone to a more plain paleo eat...

Re: Do you have any good Paleo Meals?

Get "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon. Best cookbook I own. The Weston Price stuff jives pretty well with paleo, though some recipes need some substitutions.

Re: Hydroponics

I'm not for sure against the hydroponics idea, from what I understand it's a pretty clean sustainable way to grow food especially in climates that don't support certain vegetables. I just question...

Re: I'm on 19 blocks and getting skinny wtf

Don't forget that most people just starting the zone drop a lot of water weight quickly. Something about body retaining less water with lower refined carbs. So you may not have lost anything but...

Re: Hydroponics

Already did the eat well search, and some other search engines as well. Results ended with one farmer who has beef in July, and 0 local organic veggies. The farmers markets around here have almost...

Hydroponics

I eat paleo, and I've been digging around trying to find good sources for local, organic, grass-fed here in the Orlando area. There seems to be only one CSA, and it's run by vegans who gave me dirty...

Re: Grass Fed Meats

When I inquired at Whole Foods, I was told their normal "organic" and "free-range" is all grain-finished. Believe it even says this if you read the little cards. It's about 75% grass-fed. The other...
