Re: Shoulder issue (looking for advice)

Re: Much weaker after abs injury
Whoa! I just read that on another thread! That's scarey! I have new respect for the GHD lately. You don't always know you've overdone it until the following day. Thanks!

Re: Scared I might have mild case of Rhabdo
I'm not a Dr, but, keep checking your urine. Rest. Please stay off the GHD's. 8 months is a short time, and I wouldn't do that much on the GHD and I'm at it 3.5 years. You most likely have mad DOMS,...

Re: Concussion, take off how long?
This is probably obvious to you: When you start back on exercise(that is - when totally safe), avoid anything where you hold your breath, or bear down. i.e. heavy squats, deadlifts...any max effort...

Re: Bodyweight Strength Training
Can you get a set of rings to hang on your pullup bar? Ring pushups, pullups, and dips, are great bw strength exercises. I have a set hanging on a small pullup bar in my basement. For low body,...

Re: Crossfit and Fybromyalgia
IMO, it's doable, but, the diet needs to be strict paleo, also eliminating nightshades. More rest and recovery may be necessary, and WODs must be scaled according to a day's particular pain level....

Re: Hi everyone, First Post
I don't know if you can do this, but, gargling with warm water and sea salt may not be a bad idea also. Glad you're going to take it easy till you're on the mend. Feel better!

Re: Hi everyone, First Post
Gary, I believe plantains are complex carbs, not unlike bananas or potatoes. I find them easier on the colon than rice. I don't trust rice because it is a grain, and having become gluten intolerant...

Re: Hi everyone, First Post
Gary, the diet doesn't look bad. You'll have to see how you feel when you are lifting heavy. Is rice part of it? You digest it ok? If you're looking for a high carb, if you can tolerate lightly...

Just skip the cookies next time. The ice cream gets special dispensation. You might do some strength work to take advantage of the good things ice cream has to offer. I'm sympathetic. Been on a...

Re: Painfull shoulder from....squats? Help!
Yes! Diving back in too soon is very common! I have to admit I speak from experience. After an injury from overdoing it on snatches, clean and jerks, and other things, I was sore. The kind you can't...

Re: Hope this isnt too gross- Hemorroids!
Sorry to hear of your pain. This used to be common in weightlifting due to constant bearing down. They were called "piles". I'm going to ask you about your diet, and, (yeah, gotta ask, colon health)...
