Fitocracy

Does anybody here use fitocracy?

I think it's pretty cool, but I don't know how to enter my crossfit workouts. You can input your exercises, but with crossfit the time is important, but I don't know...

Re: Deadlift Help...Please!

I concur with Bob. Leaning back and staying on your heals is what helps me keep good form when the weight is heavy or I'm getting tired. Even if you end up having to hitch it up your thighs, that's...

Re: I am sadly considering giving up clean/front squats

I did clean & jerk today and felt really good about how I met the bar. I have bruises on my shoulders instead of my collar bones, which is great. The only time the bar hit my collar bones was when I...

Re: I am sadly considering giving up clean/front squats

I am definitely guilty of wide feet when the weight gets heavy. I didn't think that was a sign of bad form until I noticed how narrow the feet of the athletes were and how deep they went on the speed...

Re: I am sadly considering giving up clean/front squats

Kind of. I really enjoy front squats and power cleans, but like I said, I'm just tired of bruised swollen collar bones. And when the collar bone gets swollen it gets bigger and becomes even more of a...

Re: I am sadly considering giving up clean/front squats

I haven't tried that with this current situation, but I did try it when I was getting a bit of a hunchback from squats and it didn't work. So I just switched to low-bar squats instead.
But now that...

Re: Front Squats VS Back Squats

The main difference I can tell is that I feel my core working a lot more during front squats. I would prefer them to back squats if I didn't get bruised and swollen collar bones from it.

I am sadly considering giving up clean/front squats

It's with a heavy heart I am considering this. I'm just so tired of having bruised and swollen collar bones.
I think it's a sign of me getting old. I used to do front squats and cleans with no...

Re: Exercise above and beyond crossfit?

honestly I don't have fitness goals. That's what made crossfit so appealing to me. It has have no focus. It's all about overall fitness. I've always said "I want to be an athlete, not a meat-head."...

Exercise above and beyond crossfit?

Is just the WODs on this page sufficient to staying healthy, fit, and looking great? Is it good to work out more than what's on this site? Or would that just be overworking yourself? Thoughts...
