For reading material you could go to the DD website where there are several books and dvd's all around $30. The kettlebell section under exercises and demos here on crossfit has excellent instruction...

I agree with Frank. However I suggest Dragon Door kettlebells. They are expensive but they are the real deal. No welds and the handle is the right size and the right distance from the bell. I tried...
