Main site has posted links on this thought before http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/001685.html (not wfs just to be safe)

Re: "Rules are rules" vs Sportsmanship

"Smokey this is not 'Nam, this is bowling. There are rules."
"Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one who [cares] about the rules?"

You have to take the rules seriously.

Re: Muscle activation is a myth?

I think his approach is just different. Don't rely on 'activation techniques' or whatever, but do your big lifts in such a way that your body uses the right muscles. Example: low bar squat.

Re: Question for moderators

It's funny because even though I have no real stake in any of the goings on, I've felt frustrated by proxy at seeing affiliates get shut down trying to keep people updated about certs at their boxes.

Re: Tape worm diet

Hope whoever does that is heavily supplementing vitamin B12, among other things.

Re: Failed at 1 gallon in under 15m but finished it within 2h+

They had a milk drinking challenge on a car forum. Out of shape old redneck dominated the competition by downing a gallon of whole milk in 4 minutes 33 seconds.

Re: skipping a vaccine

I think he meant long term side effects, other than your short term immune response.

And thimerosal, the preservative that is partly composed of mercury, is only used in trace amounts. There are...

Re: Did a no-no at Planet Fitness

What confuses me is that they hype the 'no judgment' stuff on their web site, as to entice people, without detailing it. They don't list the rules, which might give pause to people for whom it's not...

Re: Tax on soft drinks to blunt the obesity epidemic?

I'm not so sure about this. The reason a tax on HFCS doesn't bother me is that I'm pretty sure there's almost no scientific evidence for it having any positive benefit as a food other than as a...

Re: Jeans for dudes with big legs

Well it used to be fairly easy finding loose or baggy jeans. I've worn 569s for a long time, and made the poor decision of buying a few new pairs just before starting a cycle of SS. 3 months later...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Sounds like your basic row. Except awkwardly positioned and probably more dangerous, because if you let go of a barbell/dumbbell, it falls to the floor. If you lose it on the machine's bars, you've...

Re: Classic Rip (collection of quotes, many hilarious, many NOT w/f/s)

Ran across this one.

Re: Crossfit Car?

Re: Core cooling and Work Output experiment

From what I've read, the reason it takes a $2000 machine is because you need the vacuum to keep the blood vessels in your hand dilated. Ice is a vaso-constrictor and when your vessels close up your...

Re: sharp abdominal pain, lethargic, hair is falling out... etc.

1) See doctor ASAP
2) have you eaten lots of tuna or something similar for extended periods of time? Could be something like Mercury poisoning, they might end up making you collect a day's worth of...

Re: 95# Power Cleans vs. $25 Craigslist Bar
