Re: belt for Olympic lifts
I don't wear one for the snatch - too awkward to get into my pulling position. That's the big thing, it can't impede your positions. You also don't want the bar getting caught on it on the way up. ...

Re: Paleo Diet + Antibitoics ?
No prob. Dairy is the big thing that bugs me when I'm on antibiotics. If you're strict paleo you don't have to worry about that obviously. Also obviously, every body is different. So your mileage...

Re: Paleo Diet + Antibitoics ?
Common advice is lay off of acidic stuff, dairy and high fiber. You're probably good on a lot of that with paleo.
If you start getting stomach issues, you might try a probiotic but space it out...

Re: Clean and Jerk tips
Will, I'm with you except the hips back part. Hips are torso should be pretty close to straight up and down. If you drop your hips back you're giving the bar horizontal movement from the start.

Re: Body Weight Snatch
I'd drill a lot with pvc or the bar until the technique is consistant.
When you do start adding weight, I'd think you could go to an actual max for the hang version irrespective of what your full...

Re: Future Crossfit games athlete.
Why is it that people try to get their otherwise innocent threads deleted by posting a bunch of profanity? If you want it removed so nobody can see it, is it more detrimental to have a post on a CF...

Re: NSAID Usage
Watch out with ridiculously high-dose fish oil supplementation. As with anything else, too much can be as bad or worse.

I would like to see a made lift for comparison.
And yes, he "only" got to see it live, but I assume he has seen you lift before to know your tendencies. That's why I asked what he said, to have...

Re: Body Weight Snatch
It looks like you are attempting to power snatch that. I'm not sure if that's the case but either way you need to focus on pulling yourself under the bar and not pulling the bar all the way up.

Re: Hip Abductors & Front Squat
Falling over backwards sounds like more of a symptom of tight hamstrings to me. Or it could be that you're trying to sit "back" too far and not sitting "down." Think closer to a front squat than a...
