Re: Nike Romaleo
I found them to be true to size, compared with other Nikes. I wear a 10.5 and have a wide foot. I got them in a 10, however, because I wanted a more snug fit, which is what I got.

Re: running shoes
I have had great success with the minimus 10 (road version) from NB. I have not tried version 2. You can still find version 1 around on the internet. Great shoe. Minimalist construction with some...

Re: Looking for good gym tape
Best deal on athletic tape I ever found was a guy on ebay ("misterhockey"). A couple years ago I got like 40 rolls for about $50 ... no shipping. He's still on there and has a bunch of different...

Re: CL price for steel plates
Agreed. Patience is the key. If you can't wait, don't pay more than $.50; if you can, then do. I scored some old Billard plates for cheap, and after selling the barbells that came with the weights,...

Re: Good Minimalist Shoe for Concrete Running?
I wore INOV-8 220s for a bit, but, despite their made for concrete soles, they didn't even last 9 months (the white part above the gum-colored sole looked like a dog got ahold of it, which was not...

Re: Bringing infant to 2013 Regionals?
I wouldn't be concerned about it. When we went to the 2011 Regionals in Chicago both of our kids took naps (one in a baby carrier and the other in the stroller)--they were 1 and 3 months at the time....

Re: Box squat in a Rogue R3 rack?
Easy. I learned to box squat at the affiliate I used to coach at--we had two "regular" R3s, which accommodated all sizes (from my 100-pound wife to guys who were over 6' and 250#s). I am 5'10"-ish...

Re: Collars for rogue axle?
Agreed. And can't beat that price.
My favorite collars, however, are the collars from Hi-temp:

Re: Training bars
If you are looking for one have you ever tried the 5kg from Rogue ... it's 25mm? MDUSA's is 25mm too ... and I'm pretty certain that York has one.

Re: Training bars
We only own Rogue bars ... "training"-wise, we have a 5kg (it's aluminum so it's not allowed to be dropped), and I will often warm up with my wife's bar, the Bella bar (15kg). No issues at all.
I...

Re: Nike Romaleos
Agree they are true to size. I wear a 10.5 in everything ... A nice fit would be a 10.5, but I wanted them a bit snug so went down to a 10. Note: I have version 1. Also note: well worth the...

Re: What type of shoe are you guys using?
DCs (Pure) for everything, with the following exceptions:
Romaleos (Version 1) for Olympic lifting,
NB 10 Roads if I'm running over a mile, and
NB 800s if I'm on the track.
And I wear Vans to...

Re: Any reason for more than an R3?
This makes sense. If it is going in your house, and space is an issue, go R-3--I would imagine that depending upon space you won't have much room left if you go bigger. At my previous affiliate (am...

Re: Why should you use box squats in your box?
+1. Get a 12" box and stack on top of it. Good one on the floor pads--I use bumper plates. Though the adjustable box would be sweet if you have the $ (like the others, more important items on the...
