Re: tractor tires
Thanks, and yes it is. A pickup truck comes in handy up here and the Ranger is small enough that my girlfriend can drive it.

Re: tractor tires
I went today and picked up the one in the picture for $15. They had acres of suitable tires to be had. It was worth it to get my pick of the tires. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for,...

Re: tractor tires
I moved to Denver and was wondering the same thing. Since I would assume others local to Denver would also like something more specific than, "ask at tire stores," I thought I'd post what I found. As...

Re: EU affiliates against CROSSGYM
If CrossGym wins, it means anyone can open a CrossGym gym. Crossfit will still be protected, just not CrossXXX. Crossfit didn't invent any of the exercises, so they can't argue from that stance....

Re: CAP barbells
Yes, quality does vary quite a bit. I have two, both picked up from Craiglist purchases. It gives me three bars, so I can do circuits without wasting time changing weights. They are both pretty thick...

Re: Level1 for Newbe?
It's not just about how fit you are, your base of knowledge should also be pretty substantial. Like any field, I wouldn't just get all of my information from one place. Even if you agree with what...

Re: Why can't i get stonger!
You might try Crossfit Football or just focus on your strength for 3 months doing a pure strength program and cutting back on the CrossFit workouts. Test yourself after 3 months of doing a strength...

Re: Strength & Conditioning books
I love The Strongest Shall Survive by Bill Starr. As an athlete, I've found it very helpful as most books are aimed at just the weightlifting aspect and don't talk about how it fits into your full...

Re: How maany times a week to train?
While there is, obviously, an element of factitiousness in Louie's quote, I think he did mean it that way. It obviously sticks in your brain, which achieves part of the intended goal. The other...

Re: Un-certified trainers?
Depending on what the situation actually looks like, it might be grounds for their insurance company cancelling their policy (as the liability insurance is usually contingent on having certified...

Someone with a CSCS certification might be able to help you obtain contact info, as any D1 strength coach will have that certification. Barring that, you can go to the football team's website and...

Re: "squats and milk"
I did it this summer and gained 30lbs of muscle. It's a very effective program, but it requires more testicular fortitude than the average person can handle. I suggest getting the book Super Squats...

Without information about what the sub-flooring & joists of the 2nd floor look like, we really can't answer this question.

Re: Crossfit gym under $1000?? Yep I think so
Coca-Cola also works to remove rust (or diluted Phosphoric acid, if you can find it). I have a bar like that that I restored. It was rusted so I couldn't turn the sleeves (even locking it in a vice...

Re: Matting over tiles
What about cheap chipboard under the rubber? I don't see why it'd have to be plywood for the purpose you intend. If it was me, I'd be too afraid of the tile cracking with just rubber covering it....
