Toning my thighs

I have been doing CrossFit for 4 months and love it!! I am addicted! Having lost over 55lbs last year and with a ~23.5 BMI I was desperately looking for a workout regiment to help me get into shape and be challenging. I was intimated at first, but I loved it after my first workout.

My problem....

My thighs.

My arms look great, my abs (I have abs?!?!) are toning up, but my thighs are not following suit. I know for women the thighs can often be the trouble spot. I know its partly genetics, but I am incredibly frustrated and would love some guidance or suggestions on what I can do.

The guys are right. Get strong and your legs will catch up.

Back Squat. Front squat. Air Squat.

Take your pick, they all work that muscle group.

Squats, wall sits, jump rope, running, squat jumps, and stretching. I have been trying to get banned from this forum.

as everyone else has said.

4 months is not that long.

( now keep in mind that i am more experienced in life than you LOL) but it was only after a years of serious CF that I suddenly noticed that my legs ( the bane of my self image) had totally changed shape.. ankles slimmer, the fatty knees gone and muscled thighs.. someone else actually made a comment before i noticed.

so keep at it .. change will be slowest in the areas where we want the most change but it will happen

Do more work, burn more energy while taking in the same amount of food and nutrients as part of a proper nutrition plan?

Keep doing what you're doing, and add a 1mi run to the gym and back. Or bike to the gym. Or do a 500m row before and after the workout. Or add some CFE http://www.crossfitendurance.com/ SFW during the week.

Yes, this. Gawd, every other part of me has been getting leaner and stronger except my belly! One day I'll have a beach body...until then I'm still a mountain man ;)

Look at your nutrition if you want to cut body fat percentage. Then increase energy output every day, in a way that you can stand doing, i.e. something that's fun and that you'll keep doing.

Something you start doing and then stop after a little while is hardly worth considering.
