Distance: 28
Avg Speed: 15mph

Pretty easy, but after logging 190 miles this week I cannot wait for tomorrow's rest day, I'm going to be fat and lazy and eat a lot and not do anything except for pullups(because I adore pullups from the very core of my being).

I didn't even drive 190 miles this week. Fantastic.

Diesel girls (heart) pull-ups too.

Happy resting,
Melissa

Sleep, eat, eat, 30-40 pullups throughout the day.

I loved it, and Deads tomorrow!

Box Squats:
165lbs 3x3

Free Squats:
165lbs x 3 reps

Deadlifts:
250lbs x 3 reps
I ripped my hand in the same place as last week so I shut it down. This crap needs to heal.

Front Squats
135lbs
3 reps, 3, 3, 2, 1, 2
My weak link in the FS is wrist flexibility, it needs copious amounts of work.

Tuesday Night Crit: 45 minutes +2 laps

I dropped out after 33 minutes. It was a painfest, cold in the upper 50s with 10mph wind and gusting over 20. I'm still not "there" yet, I really want to be.

Coming off of the worst winter I've seen since I was 5 years old, the only reason I will let you get away with calling a high 50's temperature "cold" is because (A) you were on a bike, and (B) there were gusting winds. That does, in fact, sound very cold. And not that fun.

You're working really hard. You'll get "there".

My Dear,
This is South Carolina, we have VERY mild winters so I am spoiled worse than a Beverly Hills brat featured on "My Super Sweet 16". We pay for it in the form of brutal summers, last year I went to a 40 mile fast group ride where the temperature was 107F with a heat index over 115.

Aaron,

Have you tried training in valedromes? Those can be brutal but great for working on body weight shifts on the bike. Hope you have an indoor one in South Carolina.

Summit Ride: A 28 mile road race style fast group ride

Distance: 28.5 miles
Avg Speed: 20.5 mph
Avg Speed Before the Slow Ride Into Town: 23 mph

I am euphoric about my performance today! The fast group was 10-15 strong and stayed together until the first hill. I pulled into the Hard Scrabble Hill and saw a 4 man break go. I had 3 guys with me around the corner and one bigger guy (when I say big I mean 160-180lbs, he has also trained at Carolina Crossfit) had some good legs, he pulled to the hill and I saw the break coming back so I told him to let me pull up the hill. We dropped the other 2 guys, but I BRIDGED A GAP! I have never really bridged a gap before so this explains my euphoria. After my bridge effort I did not have anything for the last hill, I did not care.

Grace,
There is not a velodrome in SC, there are fewer than 50 in the whole country! If there was one I would focus my energy on track racing and I would be able to gain some weight, lift more, and even do some CF WODs in season. I wish!

Nice work! That's some fast riding. I'm not up on all your biking lingo, but clearly you kicked ***.
