Firefighter Combat Challenge
Well, there's no question that CF is an excellent training tool for the combat challenge. My previous best was 2:37 prior to CF. I ran the challenge in Akron, OH this past weekend and ran a 2:19. Now, in practice, I was sub 2 minutes, but a few days before the comp, I got a bad sinus infection plus bronchitis. Though I'm disappointed that I wasn't sub 2:00, I still got a PR while sick.
The Combat season is over for me, but I'm willing to bet that next year I can put up a 1:40 something.
The rest of my teammates who don't train with crossfit were very impressed by the results and are now ready to drink the kool-aid.
