Re: Nik
Great work and great time. Will follow the advice to switch. I'm not so sure about this one, I am struggling worse today then yesterday thanks to those lunges. Would love to do as RX'd, but think scaling may be the smart move.
Once again, great work! |
Re: Nik
3:00 break
531(ISH) deadlift 3 sets of 5 reps 255lbs 275lbs 285lbs I couldn't check for my proper weights so I just went as heavy as I could. It was kind of a theropy session to blow off stress. |
Re: Nik
Great job getting under 30 minutes nik!:highfive:Sounds like you did a great job staying at a steady pace. I can imagine how those legs felt during the squats with the major doms!
Yea, it was all about the squat for me, but I'm feeling less sore now. I'm glad I did it. I can't wait to see how you do.
Good stuff, Nik. Seems like an innocent one but those jumps are anything but! Just gotta keep moving steady and know that the legs get a recovery in the last half of the round.
Psh I saw your blazing time. Greqt work.
 WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE MY TIME!!!! Fast work Nik, brilliant. I wish I had read your post before hitting this workout, I reached and touched on every single of the 250 jumps with my right arm, every one, and also looked down on every rep , not once did I manage to jump straight back up.
Man it sounds like you struggled the jumps. I heard one of the guys on the demo say something about looking down and back up every rep and how it sucked, so I tried it head up and it worked better for me that way. That and I did my first 10 on my left and could already feel my side getting tired and started switching then. It was hard to jump on my right, but I did just fine with it,it broke it into sets with out stopping so you got a ''rest'' switching sides, and atleast kept your upper body fresh that way.
I did every jump touch with my right arm as well. You figure it would be faster switching?? I feel much more comfortable going up with the right.
You are right i was more comfortable on my left then my right, I was after not fatigueing on it and taking a long break. So I switched, Like I told Scott, I didn't feel any fatigue in my arm shoulder lats by switching, and it gave you a mental boos knowing it would change and you didn't have to endure it all the same. But you smoked it, so switching for you I don't see as a factor. It did keep me moving.
Great work and great time. Will follow the advice to switch. I'm not a pansey, I did the lunges, did you? Just kidding with you. Yea, I'm sore, but not so sore to be letting it bother me. I'll be fine for today. Shooting for 20 reps on the squats. If it is Scotts pr I know it isnt mine, but I'll be going after it anyway. MU's I'll just go steady on and try for 30, but my 30 MU for time is closer to 10 min or more I think. |

The right side I could not get upright at all. That's how off balance I am. :( |
