Re: Nik
I have a question, more a thought really.
I have a thing for heros, and people who sacrifice for others. I have a double standard with it too. I'll be honest here. I usually don't talk much on the hero workouts. Beacuse it is for me a way of honoring them doing the workout(as it was ment to be) So I do them as best I can and just let the time or what ever stand for itself. I don't see these workouts as workouts. I am really really sore from yesterday, I'm afraid of today for the MU's. I am doing it as well as I can and if that means 1 round so be it. I feel guilty complaining, or giving out about the workout for the heros. They gave the ultimit price for others. And I'm complaining about being sore. The double standard is I don't mind and it is 100% ok for everyone else to be sore and talk about it, after all they are human and still feel even though it is a hero workout. There is no shame in it at all. I can't or struggle with doing it. I wonder how Michael felt that day. I know he was doing his job and died for others and ultimitly for freedom. I wish he didn't have to or that anyone has to. That is life. War is here people die. I hate it. It is a noble thing to put others first. It moves me every time I hear it. There has been very few who were and are there for me. So to see it moves me. I want to stand as strong as I can for them and there memory. God bless every one who is and has stood bty for soemone else. Good bless all you military and safty workers who put you life on the line for others. God bless Fathers and mothers who give of there self daily for each other and your kids weather they are yours or not. Ok so I'm waxing poetic. I'm off to warm my back up and get my body moving. |

Re: Nik
Very well put Nik, you have a great way of getting what you feel across. Many times I have thought to myself how meaningless and little our pain is during the workouts compared with what those 'Hero's' went through without any complaining. There's nothing more you can do but give it everything on the workout, you can only do what you can.

You have the right attitude and I say "right on".. for today.. do what you can and I know whatever you do will be your best effort. MU involve muscle fatique and that is a "reality" --unlike the emotional fatique we get with the runs/rows, etc. It is important to be safe as well for your family too.. you know what I am saying? .. |
Re: Nik
I'll becareful Marianne, Heck the MU's will be slow at best so it shouldn't be to bad for me.
