Way to go Terry.

Stephen, as usual, thanks for staying on top of things.

Monday 100510

Seven rounds for time of:
10 Handstand push-ups
45lb dumbbells Squat clean, 10 reps
10 L-pull-ups

Post time to comments.

Scaled this to 5 rounds and L-pull ups were chair position. This one blew me away. I was cooked after 5 rounds. Squat clean deteriorated to power cleans. Finished---it finished me in 16:50.
CrossFit Excel (Terry Dickman's Box) has posted the final results of the Mens' Masters from the Southwest Regional Competition this last weekend (I don't think the final results are up yet on the CF Games link)...

TERRY PLACED 3rd overall!! That is truly an amazing performance. The Southwest region engulfs all of California and Arizona. He placed 2nd in the Max Thruster workout with a thruster of 225 lbs! He placed top 10 in both other workouts from the weekend.

Terry is currently in 4th out of all athletes in the Masters division who have competed. The last regional will take place on the 30th of this month. If Terry is still in the top 15, he will have a place in competition at the CF Games in July, as the top 15 men and top 15 women (world-wide) in the Masters' Division will have a spot.

Truly AWESOME performance Terry! We're proud of you!
That is freakin' AWESOME!!!!!!!! :highfive:

Good Job Terry, a lot of hard work. Wish you the best.

I have been way to busy, not enough time to log here lately. It's been wild here in TN with all the flooding. My family has been very fortunate, the flooding has not affected us. We do have friends who have lost everything.

30 squats
Dead Lifts - 10x45,10x135,10x225,10x315,10x315,10x315
Bench Press - 10x45,20x135,20x135,20x135

Thanks Everyone! I met a lot of cool Master Athletes, it was a great experience.
Was really happy with my Max Thruster. Check out the video.

Thx John..I didn't know you were competing. You did awesome...you killed Cindy! Yeah it sucks about the DU's...I really choked on that myself. I had done that WOD a few times before, always under 10 minutes...the pressure really got to me...no excuse though. 17 was my longest string. Next time I think I would try to do 20, breath 5 seconds, 20, breath 5 seconds and 10. So did you have to do it on mats in the grass? We had a lot of DNF's all due to the DU's. It was crowded too, some guys said their ropes were hitting the guy behind or in front of them.

Re: Over 50 Crossfitters Sign In

5/11 WOD

Press 3-3-3-3-3
75-95-105-115f-110-115f

AMRAP 6 Min:
100 M Row
12 Squats
7 rounds plus some rowing.

Disturbed that I could not get 3x115#. I have been able to do 1x115# for months now, and got one rep this morning, but not more. My Elite Goal is 120#, and I tried that, but not close. Concerned I'm losing strength, so I want to see where I stand with deadlift and backsquat; Saturday's Grace performance will tell, too.

AMRAP 6 could have been harder. My rows were at about a 2:00/500m pace, which is a pace I can maintain for quite a while. If I did them around 1:45 or 1:50, I might have been able to squeeze out round 8. Brett was only one this morning to get 8 rounds, great job!

thanks Terry yes we did them on the mats in the grass I told the judge I was going to do doubles knowing full well I stink at them, and they just would not come when I signed up I knew it would be trouble if double unders were in the WOD but I thought I could learn them in time, on such luck, at least I know I can hang close with the heavy hitters
the mats and grass made no never mind to me I just cant double under they made us stand sideways on the mats you know to the short side this was not so good for the taller people as the rope would hit the grass and corner of the mat

Next year I may be a year older but also a year better good luck Terry at Carson

John, I thought I saw your name in there. That's a drag about the grass. Both you and Terry threw some awesome weight around. Guess I know what I need to work on for next year but I got a looooong way to go.

Got some lifting in on Sunday but didn't get around to posting being mother's day and all of that. I'm heading out to CFTC tonight to get back into full swing after only getting a couple of WODS last week post games.

Anybody doing Murph this weekend?

Good luck this weekend Mongo! I see they have 15 names entered for the NW regionals. Just focus on yourself, specially on Helen. A lot of guys DNFd Helen in our regional, many started off good but I think we all went out too hard at the beginning. I know I did. It made it really tough 1/2 way through.

Wednesday 100512

Five rounds for time of:
5 Muscle-ups
135 pound Power clean, 10 reps
Run 220 meters

David Millar 10:08. Post time to comments.

Scaled and adapted this workout. Gym was too busy to capture a power cage if I left it unattended.
So I subbed 10 stationary dips for my usual partial MU's. Given knee issues I rowed 250 meters vs. run

10 Dips
135#Power Cleans, 10 reps
Row 250 meters(intervals bet. 58 and 65 sec)

Finished in 22:46. This included going from one end of the gym to another. Just the price of being a COINdinista!:smiley_ev
