I have been asked to put together a fitness program/class for 8th and 9th grade kids. I have checked out the CrossFit Kids site to get some ideas, but was wondering if any of you out there have ideas on how to program/begin a class from scratch for this age level. I want to make it fun for the kids so that they are receiving good fitness instruction and benefiting, but also enjoying it enough to want to continue.

Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We are updating the site as we speak, it will include (shortly) programming. We have sent 6-12 week incremental programming to many CrossFitters for this same application. We also train small sports specific groups in this age range as well as general GPP...Many have used it in school and private school settings - email us at [][/email] or and we can pass along a copy.

How can you improve on a great site? Looking forward to seeing the changes.
Mikki, thanks again for the birthday party ideas. We ended up doing the party at a gymnastics club. Pictures weren't good enough quality to post.
