Hey, You just had to rub it in!! I havent done this one yet, i looked through the last time it was done to get an idea of how long it takes. I hav a 16 lbs ball full of kitty litter that leaks on you. It sucks big time. I will be taping the heck out of it for tomarrow.
Honestly I'm not really impressed with it. It will be tiring yes, and a mental push to get it done, but I want more.(we all know I hate them anyway) I hope to get ot done at first break and have lunch for more. Maybe squats. Maybe I'll video pullup attempt. What do you think will you be hitting it?

I'm going to try to finish it in around 8 minutes. Last time i got 9 something.
Both of you aim to get it under 8 minutes for sure. Just bang out 3 sets of 50, I did 50 wall ball a couple of weeks back in about a minute and a half after already beasting my legs. It's not an extremely intense metcon because you have to wait for the ball to come back down, just take your time, focus on tight squat form and it will be cake. Tell you what go for 7 mins instead. Might be worth you doing something heavy before hand then doing as many wall ball in 7 mins as possible Nik. |
Re: Nik
Can't wait to see how this turns out!
I'm hitting Karen tonight too. Wait-that doesn't sound right! |
Re: Nik
Gee, thanks Nik! Wallball...

I have a 16 lbs ball, so take that into consideration. My issue will be catching the ball, it always is. I only have one eye. So depth perception is a mess. catching anything is hard. But in saying that I do wall ball every time it comes up. Oh and getting tire slows me down too. But the 7 min challenge looks hard. |
Re: Nik
You should definately do the Wall Ball Nik as it will help to train your depth perception, just dont get cat litter in your good eye. Why dont you get a roll of duct tape and just go round and round the ball until its got no leaks in it.

Re: Nik
Go for the wallball nik! I did it today with 45 lb thrusters in 6:56. So I met ur 7 minute challenge! The thruster sub is a killer. Left me on the floor for a couple of minutes feeling nauseous!

It just doesn't have the accuracy, coordination or precision element to it. Good effort though. |
Re: Nik
"Karen"
For time: 150 Wallball shots, 20 pound ball timw 10P:41 I sucked, broke up to sets of arround 5 after the first 50, ball leaked all over, legs burning, shoulders burnung. Brady said I was throwing short. not 10 feet, he said I was 6 to 8 inches short. i will be out of the office on delivery, so no lunch extras. Saturday is looking shakey, i have to pick up my wife at the airport and no one to watch the little one. So I may loose saturday. My turn to suck. |

Re: Nik
The effort is all that counts Nik and as long as you put alot into it, you'll get alot in return. Anyway, that time isn't bad. On my named WOD spreadsheet, 10 min is listed as right inbetween advanced and intermediate. Us crossfitters just expect more from ourself:ranting2:

Thanks, and excatly, I have a lot of ironing to do!! But there are a couple of weeknesses that i tend to neglect, wall ball and thrusters. My other weekness I don't dislike, I'm just not good at. |

I attatched the one that I use. It's kind of old and doesn't include all the named WODs. Also it may not be 100% correct, I don't know who made it.

Re: Nik
The challenge wod looks like it's going to be a suckfest, I'll have to make the runs 600m as we only have a 100m at our box. Bit of a mare beceause everything becomes a turn around. I guess it sucks to be me today, could be worse though.... HSPU's could have turned up.

Re: Nik
Took a while to find your Karen Nik, loads going on here while I been sleeping. Great job on finishing with all the litter landing in your face, my hands a very sore today also, we could both do with a nice Dynamax ball next time around.

I was hoping you would hit the weekly challenge with everyone today Nik, the workout is horrible and its on my log.

Hang power clean 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps
1. 165lbs 2. 165lbs F,F, droped to 155lbs got it( my son psyched me out, he was close) 3. 165lbs 4. 165lbs 5. 165lbs F, got it on second try 6. 165lbs F, got it on second try 7. 165lbs first try. Last time 1.125 2.135 3.145 4.155 5.165 6.175 7.180f.f.f.f.f.f.f. Legs are in agony, left leg really sore. Camille, I couldn't find a tennis ball, so I found a wheel off a modle car, a little bigger then a golf ball a little smaller then a tennis ball. hard, but a little spongy. It helped. I need to roll it a couple of more time. It made a big difference. I just need more time. Thanks for the tip!! |

As that weight gets heavier it's essential that you create speed through the middle, get the hips to go vertical at extension and actively pull under. As long as you're above parallel that'd count as a legit rep. Thanks mate, I really need to get on the bar more and work them. |
Re: Nik
Nice hpc's. I'm with ya on being tired from the last couple wods. My legs were so sore last night that I had a hard time getting up off of the couch. Got a large blister on the palm of each hand from yesterday's pullups too. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's rest day. Got my rings yesterday. Maybe use tomorrow to play around with em. I was contemplating doing the challenge wod tomorrow but it looks awfull painful. Probally hit it sometime next week. Have a good weekend.
