Carried heavy things back and forth, picked them up, put them down. (aka moving) |
Re: Over 50 Crossfitters Sign In
that is great news JT.. keeping moving is half the battle.
Have not been posting ( internet satellite problems :( . ) but I too have been moving.. yesterday re introduced wall balls to my activities..no pain today.. another win. Over the past month or so have slowly built up the weights ..the aim has been to carry the weight across 5 x 5 so far: Front squat 45kg Back Squat 37.5kg OH squat 27.5kg ( I think it is fear that is keeping me back on this) Sumo deadlift: 60kg Deadlift 62.5kg Press 30kg Push Press 37.5kg Push Jerk 42.5kg reintroduced: pitiful attempt at DU's wall handstands and rowing concentrating on perfect form... so far so good. Hope all are doing well Helen |

@Helen, rock on!
Friday August 14th, 2015 Carried more heavy things back and forth. Walked 2 laps around the farm. Did the second lap really fast (17:51). Between the lifting, carrying, and walking, we'll see how the back/hip/butt fare on Saturday.... |

Cliff - Wow! That a LOT of work to prepare that food!
Helen - Glad to see you back!! JT - Awesome progress! 18 Aug: WU: 500 m row 100+ SUs 10 leg swings on each leg in both directions 10 air squats 10 Push Ups 10 Pull Ups 25 Dead Bugs 10 Burpees (YAY! BURPEES!!) 3 45# OHS WOD: OHS 3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1 75# (3)-95# (3)- 115# (2)- 125# (2)- 135# (2) - 145# (1)- 155# (1) -165# (1) -175# (f) -135# (1) This showed me I've been slacking on OHS. My knee started talking and I started getting sloppy. I couldn't jerk the 175# and dropped it. I was able to clean 165#, which i hadn't done in a while. So i felt better about this WOD. |

A.M. Good visit at the shed. Lots of random mobility and stretching. A few light weights, some TGUs, even some rock climbing training! Hip felt good once I got warmed up and stretched out. Cramped up in the middle of the afternoon (after three straight hours at my desk...) P.M. Beautiful four mile stroll in the woods. Let's hope "motion is lotion" is true!
