@Cliff -Sorry to hear about the Newport. Hopefully it is something simple and not a major mechanical issue. I love classic cars. Our town hosts the Thin Air Nationals and it is always a treat to walk around the show, admiring the cars.

6/16
Road bike ride 16 miles; 1050' of climbing
KB swings 25#, 35# X20 reps

I considered hugging my physical therapist yesterday when she cleared me for doing swings. Still no overhead work but each PT session seems to yield just a touch more range of motion and I am happy about that. Just wish the biceps tendon would settle down; that is a consistent source of pain in the shoulder.

Rest and medication.

Good work guys. It helps me a lot to see you posting and to know that folks our age can overcome some injuries and aches and pains and keep getting it done. Am scheduled for some walking in the pool tomorrow. Being in the pool supports most of my weight but will allow me to move the hip. It's great to find a PT who wants to start out in the pool. Some of them are really motivated.

alden....it is a whole lot of fun. I am blessed to be surrounded by 40 or so "assistants" who look after all there own little moving parts to make this beast happen. it is weird how this event has been the one constant in my life for 22 years. never really planned on it happening this way it just did. it has turned into a community event and somehow we have managed to return to the squamish community in excess of $170,000 over the last 22 years.

because of the test of metal I have been able to bring in our crossfit gym for a strengths and stones comp. this year we will have 60 competitors at the finish venue competing on 4 feats of strength. 2 new ones this year....our coach has built a conan's wheel and a 14' x 10' wall for the guys and a 10'x 8' wall for the girls to stand up.....just like the wall you would frame while building a house......it is gonna be fun to watch

jt.....great news to be able to start to rehab......there are some great people out there you just may have to search a bit to find the one that is right for you.......you are gonna come back and in a year (long time I know) you will look back at this and go dang...I made it....

last nite in the gym....rushed .....

speed bench, football bar bench, push down w/black band, tri roll backs

will be back here next week

keep up the great work guys
