For time:
70 Burpees
60 Sit-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods
40 Pull-ups
30 Handstand push-ups

time 30:00
Ok burpees. ALL the way through. No stopping. On that note, I'm not sure if I did 70 or 80. I got confused at 30/40 and wasn't sure so I went with the lower number to do right or more. SO I did no less then 70 in a row. Time on the burpees 6:28.

That is where it all ended. Situps slooow, but all the way through, abmatt.
KB swing I was going to keep to 10reps and 321go, burt got to coughing inbetween sets and it went longer then 321go.

Pullups were sets of 10 small break, last set broke at 7reps.

HSPU's? Took forever, real showstopper. I was tring to keep the breaks down, but I it failure. It was awefull. I ended up on my head more often then not.

Nice job on those burpees Nik... this is like the reverse of one you did recently when the HSPU were at the beginning and burpees at end.. either way, by the time you get to them you are just all out BEAT!! great job pushing through!! :highfive:

Thanks, those burpees killed the rest of it, but I learned that I can just keep going through them.

We should set up a day where we all go 100 burpees for time as a little extra fun. :stir:

Funny I thought of doing 100 burpees,but like you the idea faded pretty quick.

You all and your Burpees. Great work Nik. I bet that Metcon is very taxing. I'd still be there trying to finish that one. Like those Deads to. Painful, yet my favorite move. Once again great work.

As for Jay and his 100-200 Burpees, I'll have to make that up another day with you all.

Thank, burpees suck so we have been challenging each other reps to keep it going and get them done faster.

The deads are getting better. I have had a bad back for years, Crossfit is sorting that out for me. I am finally able to buing my deads up. Hope to get in to the 400range. Same for squats and PS need some real help. Then there is the oly work.

Thanks Scott, thinking back I'm sure it was 70reps. Still you are right, it was easier to just keep going instead of stopping, The pain wasn't going away till I was done, there was no reason to stop. My legs were sore but still moving ok, so I just kept at it.


Off to run the 5K.

OH man is my postierier chain killing me. Glutes an d hams are wrecked. I'm a little afraid of what tomorrow brings. Off to drink more water and eat some bacon.

Much quicker than last time Nik, that's good running.

Did you notice there was no volunteers setting us targets for the 5k on main page :D

HAHA good point, I missed that. Also there are less then 200 post yesterday, %k's never get much respect. Always fewer people doing them.

My legs are shattered today. The snaches should be ''fun'' Snach fran eh?

I missed probably arround 5or 6 reps.

Last set was the best over all on the snaches.

I had Martin with me. He is great fun but really destracting. He'd roll by on his trike and I'd have to stop to get him to move so I could snach. But he was great fun, he had a bar and was ''snaching'' too. and tring to do pullups too. It was great. My time suffered. But time isn't everything. When I bring him I know time will suffer. Worth every min of it.

That's not many comments on the 5k, and I found at my sectional that loads of the competitors hated running and it showed in the last event, there was only a handful that could run decently.

Great work on todays WOD, I can picture Martin coming around on the trike and giving you a break. I bet it wont be long before he is pushing you on and hitting the WOD at the same weights as you.... Your set of 9 squat snatches was good due to learning better form on the previous two rounds, me and my training partner found exactly the same.

How cute!! I feel the same way about my snatches. The last set was the best where I felt like I had an actual flow. Although the last 2 sucked and I had to do them over. Definitely something I need to work on more often.

That's awesome, Nik. How old is your kid? Sounds like a little firebreather in the making! Nice job on today's WOD! I did the main page workout today too for the first time in months . I almost forgot how hard they are. Much more of a lung burner than the stuff I have been doing lately. Got to get back into it! Keep up the good work!

Well if that is true then that is a plus for me. I'm not fast at running, but I run every chasnce I can. I don't hate it, I'm just not great at it. I need to rub cheetah blood on my legs.

HAHA awesome Scott. All thought I think I will take it easy on my legs today. I have to roll my glutes and hams are really sore still from the 5K and yesterdays work. I'll roll at 10 and see how it goes.

Not sure for rest day fun. I haven't rolled yet. We will see. Scott is just mad with his last few heavy workouts till he has to suffer the rest befor the comp!

on round 4 I hit nausea real bad on the situps, I didn't know if I'd have to stop to trow up. I didn't know if I'd finish or do round 5. But Round 5 was better.

Pullups unbroken c2b

pushups broke after round 1 to 10 5,5,5,5 I was hitting failure.

Situps ok till round 4.

Squats unbroken, sum sets slower then others.

How was the Barbara headache, one of the meanest girls there is and round 4 is always the hardest Nik. Nice scores and big ups on the C2B pull ups. Can I borrow them for this weekend, I need 40? :p

Great job, Nik.. Yea, Barbara is tough, but for some sick reason it is one of my favorites! (Yea, I am sick)..
I did it last week and I was sore in my core for days!! I never would have thought that the situps would be so taxing.... HOpe you make out ok tomorrow! :highfive:

Good job on Barbara Nik!!! Proud of you for pushing through that pain on round four!!! I know how you felt there. I almost told my girlfriend I didn't even wan to try round 5. Did you get the headache? I got the headache when I was showering after the wod lol. Had to sit down under the cold water for a couple of minutes. You doing any extra work in the afternoon lol?

I'm not doing any extra lifting today Nik. My legs tend to get real sore from Barbara so I'll let them rest. If anything I'll hit some double unders. Enjoy your lunch!

Lunch was reat, we had wings. I managed to stay away from the sause and breads and pizza and tacos. Just wings.
