Sit-ups are done very often and I was wondering if by sit-ups it's the kind that you place your feet under something and raise your entire upper body up?

Here you go Frank:

Hmmm...the one's where u don't lift your upper body are too easy for me, unless I add weight. Or should I pick one type that lifts the trunk. Suggestions?

Why isn't the Jim Baker Standard (?) Sit-up (GHD Sit-up) used. Ever since the Journal and the showcase on a WOD page, that's all I ever do.

I read the scrotal enlargement comment, but that only happened because the guy was a dumbass and thought he was better than everyone else.

When you slowly build up, it's great how fast you can get your numbers up.

Actually, I think the GHD situp is the default for those with the overly-priced piece of equipment (or some mock-up of a GHD) but otherwise, you have to do it from the floor!

GHD Sit-ups? Which are those

On that page, search for "Jim Baker" . . . it's on Thursday 031016, about half-way through the month.

GHD-style situp is the king of situps! Nothing like doing 3 sets of 20 and then not being able to get up from the seated position for a week.

Frank Menendez 01-19-2006 09:08 PM

in the demo video, the difference between the good form and the bad form is simply that when she is going up, her knees straighten, vs the bad form where she has them bent throughout the exercise, yes?

GHD is default for me and used in my warm up. Prior to getting the equipment, I used the Ab mat and would recommend it. Don't brace your feet.
