I started 1/7 so I am a month in and two weeks into doing wods with the rest of the class. I am around 240lb but I suggest a few things:

Work on clean eating paleo/zone

Increase your cardio (thats the hardest part of wods including a run is that I have to do that and other things. I hate running, so walk, jog ect now if you arent already. I am doing Super 8 to help with this)

Watch the demo videos on and get familiar with names and movements of olympic lifting.

Ask questions on here

I also highly reccomend the Women of Crossfit =Strong Facebook page. They have lots of inspirational stories including many obese women.

Good luck it's addicting and amazing and down right crazy (fun).
