Re: Write this name on your hand
Mia.
She is seven years old and has a unique case of leukemia. In fact, it's the only known case of its kind. Even worse, she was allergic to the only drugs that could help her. Normal doses of those drugs could have done her in, but she needed them to fight the cancer. More than once, her parents were told to say their goodbyes. Amazingly, she's still beating the odds two years later. Even doctors admit they're blown away by her success. Today, during what was meant to be her last week of chemo treatments, she's back in the hospital for a virus. This little diva is a walking miracle... and tough as nails. Send the good vibes her way! She's almost there! http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/miasalazar - wfs |

Re: Write this name on your hand
Let me know if this thread is still active. I have someone to add.
Addie Reese is a 7 year old family friend. This Saturday she fell from a tree and fractured her skull. She is still basically in a coma. Any time she wakes she is in so much pain they have to give her meds to put her back out. She is still in a dangerous fight for her life and any support would be greatly appreciated. Tomorrows wod will go out to her for me. 3,2,1 fight!!! |

May she gain strength so her parents can hold her. :D |
Re: Write this name on your hand
I have been following this thread for awhile and unfortunately I now have to add the name of my mother. Patty Gibson has stage 3 of 3 multiple myeloma and is in the hospital currently. My affiliate is opening our doors on May 3rd and we are so bummed that she will not be home in time. I am just asking for a little boost from some of the best people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being involved with. We are positive that she will prevail and cannot wait to help her gain back her strength when she gets home. she was just starting CrossFit when she got sick. Thank you everyone!

Re: Write this name on your hand
Please think about my husband Shay. He is going through a tough time right now with sarcoid. This is a dreadful auto-immune disease that affects many different systems throughout the body and causes chronic pain and organ failure. He is being medically retired from USAF after 21 years this May and is beginning to really falter. Thanks guys.

Daniel and Catherine, a group of us did today's WOD with "Patty" and "Shay" written on our wrists. We hope they heal soon.
