Our athletes used 2. Didn't say otherwise in the standards and in an 8 minute workout, it wouldn't be right to spend 1/2 of it changing out plates.

Any issues with deadlifting then hang-cleaning the weight? I don't think there is, but wanted to check that general consensus.

As long as the weight starts on the floor it doesn't matter.

No racks. It says it in the workout description, just below the picture showing the OH finish position:

"At the top, the elbow, shoulder, hips and knees are fully extended, and the bar finishes directly over the body with the feet in line. Using a rack is not permitted."

oh snap! i never even noticed those captions :o

they need to lay out those pics / descriptions better. If you scrolled straight down to scaled you'd never even realize some of those pics belonged to the scaled section.

fyi, they specified that scaled can use two barbells. Saw it on twitter a little bit ago.

Um, no. This workout requires the clean to start from the floor, which means that if you deadlift then do a hang clean you haver failed to meet the standard since a clean is one fluid lift and a deadlift plus hang clean is two lifts. It's ok to muscle, power, or split clean but not hang clean. When hang clean is acceptable, it's stated as such.
