Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
I'm thinking a .a is a good bet, but not another 1RM. I think they'll balance out having a .a of a strength component, with a .a of a gymnastic movement (HPSU would be my guess) or mono-structural (maybe a 3 min row for cal?).

either way I see Panchik winning vs Bridges. Although, Josh is a warrior on the long work outs.

didn't he lose last year? and i am putting money on Bridges since he is one of my top 3 favorite athletes. |
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
now that they announced the work out. I see Josh doing very well. His HSPU are usually amazing and 185 is light weight for him.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
Bridges doing his hspu with hands too far apart so he's not reaching his tape mark. Getting no repped like crazy
|
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
wow, that standard killed Bridges. he had 20+ no reps
|
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
Yea that new standard killed Bridges. He will do it again, I'm sure. Judging is huge in this workout. There will be a huuuuge discrepancy between how people judge each other on this one.

he just said that he will be doing it again. as for judging, i agree 100%, i can see a big discrepancy in judging. Bridges had Boz so he pretty much got the most strict judge out there. |

Either feet are above or not. Pretty cut and dry

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
For scaled, one barbell or two? Two different weights would required loading/unloading 10 lb. plates to go from 95 to 115 each round.
Doesn't say either way in the video or the printed standards. HUGE advantage to have 2 barbells -- no transition time. Thoughts? |
