Forgot the powder and eat real food. Raw whole milk is a great source of calories, eggs, bacon, almond butter, steaks, fish, chicken, nuts etc, you get the point. If you need more calories, you can always add extra EVOO or just put down three four tablespoons of coconut oil per day as a little snack.

Nuts, whole milk, lots of eggs. Mr. Skibicki (poster on here) will tell you that when he was trying to gain weight he drank a gallon of whole milk, a dozen eggs, and 2-3 pounds of meat DAILY and that's not even everything he ate. And, if you still need a supplement then there are a lot more out there that have more than 650 calories. Serious Mass is what I used when I was like 130# and it had 1500 per shake.

Hi Nick

Before you start taking a supplement you should always check the research to see if it is safe and effective. You would be surprised by the number of ingredients that haven't been properly tested.

Go to PubMed, which is the government's web site for published research studies. Do some basic searching on ingredients like arginine, etc. and look for human safety studies and also studies on athletes. Creatine for example has been studies loads and has a good safety profile. Glutamine on the other hand, doesn't have much positive research backing to improve performance.

Hope this helps

Agree with all and forget the "mass gain" supplements. Gallon of Whole Milk a day. You will get bigger.

GOMAD will put weight in, that's for sure, but between the lactose and IGF-1 it's likely to be soft weight. I'd suggest gradually ramping up calorie intake with larger portions and 1-2 whey/oats shakes per day...50g of whey and a cup of oats will give you about 400 calories, and you can increase that total by adding some olive oil or coconut milk.
