A good morning working on posture and light weights at the Shed 'o Pain. In no particular order and with no particular purpose except to keep moving: sitting posture, standing posture, lacrosse balling back & butt, deadlifts at 135#, back squats at 45#, some pullups on the rock wall, OHS at 45#, one C&J at 135#, some tgus at 20#, two GHD situp stretches. Just a real good movement and posture session. |

Friday nite
did legs and lower body work out with one of the young un's (early 30's) I pushed him both in weight and speed....he said at the end "we should do this more often. you don't slow down." then I was talking to one of the other powerlifters who thought I was in my mid 40's and not 50's.....he was surprised to find out I was as old as I am :D Saturday....bunch of bench work and bicep curls....then for the rest of the days and sunday life chores glad to be back at work to take it easy |

Walked to Ctown Did snatches to 140# Did C&J to 175 Walked home OMFG does my hip hurt. This is either dedication or a recipe for disaster. I have an appointment for a second opinion tomorrow. |

tonite
was getting ready to do some sled pulls when my coach came upto me and asked "wanna do something different?" so dumb me with out thinking says "sure" so he grabs the rino horn harness..slips it over my head and puts on 80 lbs on the horn, hands me a stop watch and says "800 meters get going and watch the hill at the end of the driveway" 10:54.....i would have rather done a 12 minute sand bag carry.... then 6 x 20 second ghd back paddle |

Tuesday June 9th
Coached basketball while standing substantially still Went to doctor Walked up hill to stadium Watched half of Indians game Pain killer wore off Shuffled home in agony Okay, it's time to accept that this injury is still an injury and that training anything but posture and movements that don't use my lower back is a stupendously bad idea... Weightlifting is over for now. Time for a new challenge (e.g., regaining the ability to walk pain free). Am open to suggestion for a challenge after that. |
