Anybody have any suggestions on how to rehab and/or train through a strained sartorius muscle? I effed it up trying to do one-armed db cleans for the first time.

Since sartorius is an accessory muscle for hip flexion (and slight external rotation of the hip) the Samson stretch should hit it very well.

To be honest, I've never seen sartorius as the key link in a functional diagnosis. I use tenderness of the sartorius insertion into the pes anserine area of the knee as one possible indicator of ipsilateral SIJ dysfunction, with other indicators to confirm.

Of course, continuing with the honesty thing, I've probably never had a patient that did one-armed db cleans *sigh*.

Good luck.

Forgive my ignorance, but could you please explain a Samson stretch? Thanks.
