How far to travel for Sectionals?

Just looked at the site to see where sectionals are for my area. Looks like I would have to travel over 1100 miles if I want to compete. Man, thats a long drive for the first round. And Regionals are 1200 miles away.

How far do all of you have to travel to compete in the Sectionals and Regionals? Might be worth the drive annd the 4 days......

Wow, you're right. You have quite a hike. Though, to be fair, you do live in an extremely remote corner up there.

You may be hating me after saying this, but our sectionals for VA,WV,DC is 10miles from my house.

I would have thought they'd have a sectionals in the Twin cities somewhere. :(

I'm also surprised there isn't one in the Twin Cities. Or Chicago, for that matter.

Are any of the Canadian sectionals any closer?

I just checked, and the one in Lancaster Park, Alberta is only 900miles from him. Are you allowed to go to a sectionals that you don't actually live in the designated areas for?

You have to qualify in the sectional area that you reside in.

My heart goes out to the Europeans, Asians and African competitors that have to travel much, much further than anyone living in the US.
