V8 fusion
 
I'm thinking about incorporating v8 fusion light into my diet to help with some carb intake and fluids. Doing strict paleo. Tired of eating veggies. Wouldn't mind drinking some of them tho. How bad is it?

Well all canned juices are highly processed... not to mention the Xenoestrogens that are probably leaking into the liquid

High unnatural salt content, probably HFCS in fusion, and high sugar content...

I would just eat fruits and veggies, or make your own homemade drink.

Stay away from canned juices.

If you're going to drink anything go with:

water, tea, coffee, milk, or nothing at all.

What does the label say? If fruit, veggies, and maybe water are *all* that's in there, then it's fine, except that juices have much more concentrated sugar than the fruits and veggies they come from. If it's mostly HFCS and salt, with the fruit in there as flavoring, then you'll want to stay far away.

Think about this for a moment?

Strict paleo... which is more paleo? Yams, sweet potatoes and squash or processed veggie liquid?

I think the choice is obvious.

Yeah I would advise staying away from V-8 as it isn't the best source of juice. I would suggest juicing on your own.
Not sure what your budget is like but if you can get a juicer it is WAY worth the investment. You can use that to juice all kinds of green vegetables. Look online to find various recipes. I often include parsley, kale, wheat grass, carrots, and other vegetables.
Something else you can do is look into superfoods and starting blending shakes with them. Some notables are goji berries, acai, raw cacao, and others.
On the other hand if you are looking to just grab something to drink on the go instead of getting a soda then v-8 isn't the worst thing you could be drinking as it still has some good nutrients in it.

Otherwise not a replacement for real veg.

I forgot to put that I aim for the fusion light. Less sugars. But after a lot of input I'm gonna try juicing my own brew. Any recipies?

Naked makes some great all-fruit smoothies/drinks. They've also recently released two new flavors that are made with coconut water as well. The "tropical smoothie" one is really good.

Just to present the other view, I am not a fan of juicing.

To me, juicing takes out nearly all the good parts of fruits and veggies and leaves you with mostly the bad.

Sure it depends on what your diet philosophy is and what your goals are but I would just avoid juice all together.

According to Robb Wolf the question always devolves to, "What about locally grown, organic fruits and vegetables?" Answer, "You end up with locally grown, organic diabetes in a cup."
