Dislocated hip

I just dislocated my him this morning and am actually posting this from the hospital. Has anyone else gone through this injury and if so what was turnaround time before you could start going hard again.

Depends if anything else is going on fracture etc. listen to your orthopedist. Capsule takes minimum of 6weeks to heal

Re: Dislocated hip

So I wound up having dislocated my hip and in the process fracture the back part of the socket. The hip was set in place and a plate was inserted afterwards to help the hip heal faster. I have started to rehab on my own. I have asked for physical therapy sessions but and am not getting it because I am ahead of where the normal protocol would have me finish (this injury normally happens in the elderly).

Does anyone have any suggestion on what kind of protocol to follow.

So far I have just been doing very light weight single leg press, leg ext., leg curls, and slow pace on elliptical.
