Rowing Machine

Would like to buy a rowing machine, but on a budget. Any suggestions?

Be patient, save up, and buy a Concept 2.

+1 Best investment as they don't really lose much value.

I told my husband to hold off on the birthday gift this year, so I wouldn't feel guilty ordering my Concept 2 Rower.

It worked out great, considering he doesn't have to wrack his brain figuring out what to buy me, and I don't feel bad buying the expensive piece of equipment.

I haven't ordered it yet, since BDay is still a month away- but that's the present I'm getting.

Definitely get the Concept2. It is your best value--you will be wasting money buying a cheap one.

Last week I went on a trip and had to use a water rower (link below) which was available. It is quieter than a Concept2 and rows as smooth as a Concept2, but is actually a little more expensive. And the monitor was way off--suggesting my 2000m row time was almost a full minute faster than I have ever achieved on my Concept2 at home. I am not sure of durability, and the Concept2 is definitely a proven commodity there, but it was a nice rower to my surprise after using it a few times.
