Anybody tried it? My wife bought some, and I ate some this morning, along with some frozen blueberries and Splenda, and a couple hard boiled egg whites to up the protein. Not too bad, except the flaxseed oils in it leave a very slight aftertaste reminiscent of fish. Not enough to bother me though.
Any expert nutritional observations? Robb, Larry?
I do like the name of it.

It/s the equivelent of expensive oatmeal. Fiber and good-for-you grains.

If their is a slighly rancid fishy after taste probably mean teh falxseed oil is off. It oxidises very quickly.

Their web site says it contains flax seed. If the flax seed is whole, the oil inside remains fresh but the hull is indigestible and you aren't getting any of the oil inside. If the flax seed is ground, milled, whatever, the oil inside rancids quickly, you'll catch a whiff of linseed oil when it's rancid. (Linseed oil is made from flax seed.) Supposedly you can cook flax at low heats but I find that even a spoonful of flax on oatmeal instantly smells like linseed / paint. Remember, rancid flax is a trans fat, so it doesn't just taste nasty.

Ah. OK then, thanks guys. Think I'll just stick to good ol' stone cut oatmeal.
