Well Double under trainig started this morning. 20 double unders, I only go 2 in a row, I will do more later seeing that it is a rest day.I am banging my knees together, I have to stop, my knees are sore. I guess I turn my toes in, which I do when I walk.

Any one who has double unders more than 3 in a row, please chime in, any help and advice is welcome.
It's all in the speed of the rope turn. Don't try to pick your knees or feet up. "Jump tall" is what many people have told me. Just try to think of that when you do them. Jump up straight and tall and turn the rope fast.
I am sure there are others you can give better advice. That's what worked for me though.

See when Brady was doing the workout yesterday wile he was doing situps, i was messing arround with the jump rope and did just that once, it felt right for one second.

You are right, speed seem to be a BIG factor!! I will go try another 20. be back!

:bolt: thats how I imagine you running off to practice Nik

I got 38 consecutive yesterday in the 50 set but still I am not the best to give you tips on double unders as I looked like a one-legged Kangaroo with a hernia, my eyes were shut and I travelled 20m around the studio in my gym. No idea why i shut my eyes when doing double unders very strange. If anyone sees my rope they run.

Re: Nik

Ok that seems better, just trying that got me almost 3 in a row. Speed and timing. I didn't pull my knees up this time. '

My knees are sore.

What kind of jump rope are you using? I agree with Vanessa - speed is very important. I couldn't do any with the rope we have at my glob so I bought a super rope. It is awesome and fast!

Well it isn't a super rope, but it is a speed rope, Brady picked it up two days ago, I can see speed being a huge factor.

How much and wherwe did you get you super rope?

Oh yea, I'm in, but I will be doing jump or assist muscle ups. I did this before with pullups and dips, but I need to get the muscle ups going.

The cleans should be fine as long as my form and back are good. By fine I mean I can do them, but it will be hard, 135 is a big number for me still.

It looks good.

Better then I expected! Oh I was starving!! I was hungry when I started the WOD, I wasn't sure if I would have the energy, but once I got moving it was good. After the workout we ran 800m for fun. And I was almost manic, I had all this nerviece energy. Ask Brady, I wouldn't shut up!!

Oh and my food tasted awesome!!
Nice work Nik!!
Light warm up.

Five rounds for time of:
275 pound Deadlift, 5 reps
10 Burpees

as rx'd

8:18

I like'd this one, I was worried about my back some and the weight, so I took it slow and focused on good form. 275lbs is up there for me. Next time I will know this is doable for me. Some of the stronger people should fly through this one, it was fast.
