I see SDHP's are recommended sub for rows; any way to use seated cable rows as a substitute? I guess the major drawback is less lower extremity involvement but it does seem to work the same upper body muscles as the rows. Any weight recommendation to use?

I'd argue that the cable rows are not a good substitute at any possible weight - rowing isn't used as a strength element, but as a way to get a huge amount of muscle working repetitively for metabolic tax rather than stamina or strength. The cable row is limited to the upper body portion of the movement, which, in rowing, is comparitively minor in terms of the total power of a single pull. In other words, it has a very minor metabolic demand and therefore is not a good substitution. Stick with SDHP.

I have a Versa climber that I am using to sub for rowing at this point. Currently I am climbing 1 foot for Rx'd meter of rowing. Anybody have experence with both? Is this a resonable substitution, regarding effort and duration to complete the required work load for the WOD?

Eric, it will be a little harder and times will be a little higher but better to be over-prepared than under hey?! My gut feel is about 400ft per 500m row. Whichever, you are going to get a kick arse workout.
