Waw, I had to break my squats in multiple sets in that WOD, I'm not used to high volume at that weight.

Let me know how the sissy test went, don't take it too lightly, I under-estimated it with a 24k dumbbell and it turned me into a real SISSY afterwards :p

Your rest days are tougher than the workout days dude ! ^^

Tuesday 15th April 2008

SHOULDER PRESS:
20k 15 / 40k 10 / 50k 6 / 60k 3 / 65k (PRx3 reps):o

SISSY TEST
20 Burpees - 1 DB Swing 25k
19 Burpees - 2 DB Swing 25k
18 Burpees - 3 DB Swing 25k and so on until 1 Burpees - 20 DB Swings

35.10

Pleased my pathetic shoulder press has advanced a little.

As for the Sissy Test that was so tough. I started it with a friend who decided to pull out on the fourth round and he is a very fit bloke (he said he had to beat the traffic!! At the end of the first 8 rounds i was thinking i wish i had rested today.

Richard i read your log about your Sissy test a few weeks back so i did expect it to be a killer workout and was ready in my mind.
I was going to do Front Squats as well today but slowly over the last 5 hours my legs have started to get stiffer and stiffer from the squats yesterday!!
GREAT REST DAY!!!!:kicking0:

PS Richard: I did proper burpees today!! (I jumped very very slightly on the QGB)

Scott, you are a beast. No regrets right ? lol Told you it wasn't a way of resting !

The sissy test almost made me quit. But man, 35 minutes, that's beyond me at the moment ! Nice :highfive:

And congrats on that shoulder pressing ! Hate that exercice, makes me feel so weak compared to the split jerks and such

I'm afraid your legs will be even stiffer tomorrow. Good luck with that pal.

PS : yes I like to get that jump on burpees, it's because I did that 100Burpee/Pull-ups for time WOD when I first started performing burpees, I just jump them all the time now.

Still on for tomorrow ? :D

Hi Scott,

I did Nancy on the treadmill using the same technique you told me about for Helen. I left the treadmill running and just jumped on it for 400m, that saved time compared to restarting it everytime ! The treadmill is not too far from the squat rack so it's cool too.

I love that WOD, I hope you'll enjoy it too :)

NANCY
5 Rounds for time: 400m Run / 15 OHS 95lb = 15.09

I paced myself so that i would finish in about 13 mins. After round 2 i realised that was going to be impossible. After running at 16kph on the first 400m i was all over the place on the OHS so had to slow down.

Great work Richard i did not realise how good your time was until i tried to beat it, and mate i really wanted to beat you today, it was death or dishonour. I must give Nancy more respect next time. Really enjoyed it!!!

Jumprope Practice
CONSECUTIVE DOUBLE UNDERS FINALLY ACHIEVED:pepper:

Been doing jumprope (sounds better than skipping), for about 1 month. Its great when i starts to come together.

Death or dishonor mate :crutch00: I feel you. I went all out, I HAD to get this WOD today.

My first 400m was at 16kph too, then they were 15kph, and the last one was back to 16.5 or something. It's a matter of recovering "while" doing the OHS, I didn't know it was possible before doing it today lol

Great effort nonetheless !

And good work on those double-unders, I see a filthy 50 coming soon, your work will be useful :evilsmile

Part II tomorrow :run:

Well dammit I guess round 2 can't be compared then. Did you like Elizabeth at least ? I've found it very tiring because of those squat cleans. Can't wait for you to master those !

Thank you for the compliments, those muscle-up are not a dream for me anymore :) It's definitely because my false-grip is a little more solid, takes time to get used to it but I'm starting to like it.

I certainly advise you to be careful with your wrist, mine took 4-5 months to be completely good again (kept re-hurting myself here and there during that period). But tell me, I read your thread about shoulder pain after OHS. How is it feeling today ?

I can't tell where it comes from, proper warm-up before and stretching after does the trick for me. You have good form, keeping active shoulders ?
