5 Rounds: Run 400m, 30 Box Jumps, 30 Thrusters 20k plate(sub) = 23.57.10

Totally wiped me out, was going to do some squats/thrusters afterwards but after laying on the floor for five minutes decided that i had done enough!!

Richard: Whos going to get 190k today. A very good decider for the three day match i think :smiley_ev

Freaking good performance there ! :notworth:

It wiped me out too, my glutes are on fire. But I'm off to the deadlifts now :super:

This is going to be tough haha, I love those 3 day matches man !

DEADLIFT 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

60k x 10, 100k x 5, 140k x 2, 160k x 1, 180k x 1, 190k x 1(PR), 195k x 1(PR), 200k(F) did not move from floor, 197.5k:pepper:

Richard: I have to thank you for this as without your inspiration i probably would not be deadlifting 180k right now. I really thought i was going to get 200 and im sure you will within a week!! Thanks mate!

21/15/9 HSPU, Ring Dips, Push ups 20.29
HSPU mostly not to the floor, tried many hand positions but shoulders did not quite have the strength today so time does not really count. Amazing on this one how hard the push ups are after doing the rest.

Re: A Bears Tale
Good lord, you rock ! :highfive:

Getting 197.5 on the last set is something ! You just didn't want a tie between us haha.

I have to thank you too, I would've kept lifting steadily if I didn't have to compete you here. But now it's on like donkey kong dude !!!

200K is calling us, but I've been going heavy on deadlifts 3 times in the past 7 days week, I'm going to back off and will definitely check out the 200 in a month or so.

Congrats on the win, I need a great comeback for the next WOD triple :D

Cheers Scott !

Re: A Bears Tale
I must admit i can be very competitive and being able to read your scores and then have a goal to beat does help a lot!! Was practising my skipping technique this morning and noticed in the mirror i looked like this!! :pepper:

Back to morning training the next two days so will be posting early. I cannot believe on my days off work i get up earlier just to see what the days WOD is!!! OBSESSIVE:bonk:

Re: A Bears Tale
Run 10k - 43.35
Was running 10k twice a week last year so fun to get back to it. Would of been quicker but had to stop for a 'Paula Radcliffe'.

Earlier at the gym:
Bench Press: 110k x 3, 115k(PR) x 1
Ring Dips Weighted: 5k 5 reps, 10k 5 reps, 15k 4 reps

75 reps with 75 pounds. Count sets to complete with no more than 30 seconds rest between: 3 sets: 31/33/11
Will up the poundage to 95 on this next time.

Re: A Bears Tale
Waw congrats with the 10k, that's something I'm not familiar with at all. Very impressive to me, you win ^^

And you totally own me on the bench press too haha.

I got my first muscle-up today, I joined the club :highfive:

And I did that WOD 2 months ago with 95#.

"Overhead squats (95#) for time in as few sets as possible :

===> 8'11" "

Now you have a benchmark for next time :D

Can't wait for tomorrow's WOD !

PS: I'm learning things every day since I started Crossfit too, it's incredible. Intermittent fasting is wonderful, works prettywell for me. It just has to be done the right way :)

Re: A Bears Tale
Sunday 13th April

5 rounds of :
15 seconds Thruster 135lb
45 sec rest
15 seconds 50lb pull ups
45 sec rest
15 seconds Burpees
45 sec rest

135lb Thruster 5/4/4/5/5 = 23
50lb Weighted PUs 4/4/4/4/4 = 20
Burpees = 7/8/8/8/9 = 40 TOTAL = 83

Pleased with the Thrusters , first time they felt comfortable. Happy with this score although not enough to beat Richard i doubt:D

Richard Vanmeerbeek 04-13-2008 05:46 AM

Re: A Bears Tale
Mighty close one !

How on earth do you get 9 burpees in 15 seconds ? Nice !

What an improvement on the thrusters, you will definitely demolish your next fran my friend :D

Final outcome tomorrow :highfive:

Hang Power Clean

20k x 10, 30k x 10, 40k x 6, 50k x 2, 60k x 2, 70k x 1, 70k x 1
First time with this movement so just practised my form.

BACK SQUAT 100K (220LB), RING DIPS 21/15/9 = 9.23.72

Practised my kipping pull ups. Must remember to push away at top, keep losing momentum. Best set 19

Well done Richard this three is yours.
Watched a film called Dodgeball last night and found out where the term 'GloboGym' comes from.

Re: A Bears Tale
Good work on the hang power cleans, they require a lot of explosiveness !

And waw, you set the bar high with that time on the Squat/Ring Dips WOD. How did you like it ? I can usually not sit down comfortably during the following days ^^

Got to "love" the globogyms :D

Damn I saw images of the London Marathon, 2 hour 5 minutes is a hell of a time to run a marathon !

Enjoy the recovery, and catch you for that next triple :highfive:
