*Great WOD, sweat profusely and didn't really get a lung burner like FRAN
Next time I'll do 75# or 85# Barbell Thrusters

Great job! I'm bummed I didn't do the tuck jumps (thought 2x single-unders were an appropriate sub :o). I feel like I missed out... :(

Nice with the 65# Thrusters! This is my goal for next time! :)

Check out my log for today's CrossFit Houston WO. It was by far the hardest workout I have done there!!! I almost didn't finish it.

Carlos promised to come up with a good workout for you, me, and Chrissy on Thursday. I'm so looking forward to it!! :D

That's funny, I lived in Houston for 6 months for a job too V.Would be so cool to meet up w/ all of you at one time or another.

Seeeeeriously.

Nice time for thrusters and tucks, Grace. I didn't have the guts to do 50-40-30-20-10...

I can't wait to meet you ladies! Go easy on me though, I'm not sure if I can handle the weather change on top of a tough workout!! I grew up in the Houston area, but after spending the last 7 years in San Diego I think the heat and humidity are going to knock my socks off!! :yikes:

This could be really good...or really bad...

Carla, that seems like a beastly WOD. Congrats on the 50# Sandbag TGU upgrade! :pepper: Bring it on, right?!?

Camille, Oly Lift is my middle name now. You felt the rush, too, huh?!?!

Erin and the rest of the ladies.....it would be nice to meet with any one of you one of these days. Crossfitting is for fun times, too.

Chrissy in H-town, Texas! :kicking0: Yes, we'll have some bum-kicking fun times at CF Houston sweat box!!!

WOD 080601

Taught 60min Indoor Cycling - multi-profile day for the members at the glob. This is usually my warm up before a WOD but son had baseball all weekend long.

----------------------------------
ACTIVE REST DAY 080602

Plyo boxes are not that fun because of the angle cuts. Shawn helped the the initial cuts and the small whole for handles. Then, I took over. I'm really liking this power saw tool. :D But I have to readjust the drawing so I can recut with the angled cuts. :ranting2:

------------------------------------
WOD 080603 Catch Up Day

Back Ext x10
Anchored Sit Ups x10
Pull Up x10 (9 in a row) PR
Dips x10
Samson Stretch
Burgener Warm Up with stick x10

135# Clean and GHD Sit Ups
10-8-6-4-2 and 50-40-30-20-10

75# Clean and Globo back extension equipment but reversed the movement to get the GHD-like effect.

= 13:12

-----little chatting with Bicep curling dudes----then 3,2,1.... HPS!

Hang Power Snatches 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1

Burgener Warm Up with Oly Bar only x10, 2 rounds

45-50-55-60(wobbly)-60-65f-65f-65-70f-70(wobbly)-70f-70(wobbly)-75f
It's hard to do Snatches at the glob since they don't have bumper plates !!! I ended up with a bruised left thigh at one of the 65# failures.

I'll take personal best at 65# today. :)

Great work on the snatches, Grace ! I'm still practicing w/ a pvc pipe. They really look like they require a lot of coaching.

Grace,
I can't wait to see the boxes. Let me know and I can help out tomorrow if you have time in the afternoon.

NIce work grace - I quote like the power snatch - such an Olympic thing. I always feel like looking for the 3 green lights to show a successful lift and then jumping in the air and doing a little victory punch. But we don't seem to be working on that end of things so much!

Great job on the WODs. I'm going to try the cleans and situps tonight. Should hurt after doing the thruster and double under workout last night. ouch!
