HELP i need ideas for a sub for Hand Stand Pushups 050820, keeping in mind i only have one anterior Shoulder/Ac that is working at the moment and cann't do elevated feet or even pushups from knees.

I'm kind of over doing One Armed Pushups after doing them as a sub for dips in yesterdays WOD and for "murph" .......and for any other pushup/dip work over the last month.

I was thinking DB Push Press. Any ideas/suggestions would be welcome.

I have my rings up now and have been working body rows with feet on ground for the last week and its not agrivating the shoulder too much (usually have to stop after 3-4 reps,). I might see how i go with feet on a bench as a sub for pull ups.

Standard sub is shoulder press. Push press recruits the hips, which aren't used in the HSPU.

Thanks Chris,
I ended up doing machine shoulder press. Not strictly crossfit i know, just so i could use both arms for once.

I was under the impression that the standard sub was not a seated shoulder press (or machine shoulder press), but rather a standing DB shoulder press. YMMV.

As I go to check the last Diane, you're correct Matt. I couldn't remember if it was BB or DB... but I should have specified standing.

I figured it was standing, I gave it a try with the broomstick but it was still to painfull, the lowering hurt more than the lift, where as the MSP didn't hurt the injury.
Saturday was just on four weeks since i busted my shoulder and it's still not fully healed. With the seated there was less chance of droping/re-injuring, i don't want to go back to square 1 again. Im sooooo over using one arm i had to try something i could do with two. Sorry i wil do standing one arm shouler press next time
